War Cam Eagle!

This weekend we tailgated for the first time as a family. We tailgated in front of the Upchurch building on Mell Street. Griffin and Elizabeth had a great time. Elizabeth threw the football. Elizabeth then went to the LSU game with me. She made up a cheer for LSU: L is for loser, S is for stinks and U is for ugly uniforms. Gotta love her. She is a hoot. We cheered my Auburn Tigers on to a great victory then walked to Toomers to celebrate.
So, Auburn is currently #1 in the BCS for the first time ever. I personally don't like it since the previous 3 #1 teams have lost. BUT, if we can win out this would almost guarantee us finally getting our chance to play for the National Championship. It would be pretty cool since Griffin was born the day before Alabama won last year (which is David's team). And he would turn 1 year old around the time Auburn would win one. But I get ahead of myself. Let's just win on Saturday vs. Ole Miss.
WAR CAM EAGLE. Cam went to Blinn College last year and my mom went to school there many moons ago. Glad he decided to come to Auburn.
I have the same feel for this Auburn team as I did for the 2004 undefeated team. Let's hope this team repeats in the number of wins.
WDE!

Football

I love college football and in this order: Auburn, SEC, and then all of those other teams. I have season tickets to Auburn and live in Auburn. But when it is football season the traffic gets so bad in Auburn. I am glad I am able to just walk to the games (2 miles one way). This makes life easier. I grew up in Houston and was use to traffic. I haven't had to deal with traffic on a daily occurrence in a number of years now. Good thing our traffic in Auburn is only a few weekends out of the year. Hooray for small towns.
Now back to football. If I won the lottery or came into a large sum of money I would love to be able to go to games at each of the main college stadiums. How cool would that be? And then after that I would like to go to every major sporting event once (Super Bowl, World Series, etc.) Ah, the dreams we have....

First Post

So, I am finally getting around to starting a blog. Who knows what I will post. Maybe just family stuff or maybe daily doings. To start a catch up on my family. Thanksgiving will be David and mine 4th wedding anniversary. We have been together for over 5 years now. David's girls are 10 and 8 years old. I can't believe how old they have gotten. And of course our newest joy in our lives is our 9 month old little boy. Griffin Axel is such a happy baby. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. Our full house doesn't end there. My mother moved in with us in May to take care of Griffin while David and I work. We are hoping to add a mother-in-law wing in the next year. We are very blessed to have someone who loves our son take care of him daily.
Football season is busy for us. We have Auburn season tickets and this season has been great. While I go to my games David sits at home and watches his school (Alabama) play on TV. This difference in teams is the reason for the name of the blog (House Divided).
